Aruba's weather barely changes: about 30°C, constant trade winds and almost no rain, every month of the year. It also sits south of the hurricane belt, so late summer stays safe. That makes timing a pure price game - and the price swings are big.

In Brief

When is the best time to visit Aruba?

Weather-wise, almost any month works - Aruba is warm, dry and breezy year-round and sits outside the hurricane belt. So the best time to visit is really April to August: the same sun and sea as the January-March high season at noticeably lower prices, once the winter crowds leave. September to early December is the cheapest stretch of all, with slightly higher humidity and the odd brief shower. January to March is peak season - fully booked and the year's highest rates.

Time it right: Aruba's seasonal highlights

  • Aruba Carnival

    January–February

Weeks of parades, music and street parties building to the Grand Parade - the island's biggest cultural event.

  • Trade-wind season

    May–August

Steady 25-knot winds make Aruba one of the Caribbean's best wind- and kitesurfing spots, centred on Fisherman's Huts beach.

  • Calm-sea season

    September–October

The winds ease and the water turns glassy - the best visibility of the year for snorkelling and diving, at the lowest prices.

  • Outside the hurricane belt

    June–November elsewhere

While the hurricane season hits the northern Caribbean, Aruba sits safely south of the track - late summer here is a smart swap.
