The Team
Journey Finder is a small team and we all still travel. Every guide on the site is written and kept up to date by one of us, each of us sticks to the topics we know best, and every article carries the name of the person who wrote it.

Tomass
Founder and CEO
Tomass started Journey Finder and runs it day to day, from the tools to the data behind the guides. The aim has not changed since the first page went up: give people the honest version of what a trip costs and what is actually worth booking.

James
Cruises and port days
James has lost count of his port days, and nearly all of them ran against the clock. He writes the cruise guides: what you can genuinely reach in six hours ashore, what the ship's own excursion charges you double for, and what is fine to skip.

Emma
Hotels and neighbourhoods
Emma takes cities apart by neighbourhood: where paying more actually buys you something, where it buys you nothing, and which streets go dead after ten. She has checked into more forgettable hotels than anyone should have to.

Oliver
City guides and things to do
Oliver still travels with a paper map and gets lost on purpose. He writes the things-to-do guides, and he has very little patience for attractions that only work as a photo.

Alice
Trip planning and when to go
Alice works out when to go. The weeks when the weather has settled but the crowds have not turned up yet are her whole thing, and she plans almost everything around shoulder season.

Sophie
Flights, trains and transfers
Sophie covers getting from A to B: how long the flight really takes gate to gate, which days are cheaper to fly, which train beats the plane, and when an airport transfer is worth booking ahead. She spends a lot of her life on platforms.

Harry
Budget travel and saving money
Harry travels cheap and writes down what it cost. Hostels, night buses, street food, and the small daily spending that quietly wrecks a budget nobody thought to check.
How We Make Money
When you click a booking link on our site and go on to book a hotel, flight, tour, cruise or car through our booking partner, we earn a small commission. You pay the same price either way. This is standard practice and it is what keeps every tool and guide here free.
Important: what we recommend is never decided by that commission. We rank routes and places on price, time and emissions, and our guides say plainly when something is not worth booking or not worth your time.
Privacy
We take your privacy seriously. Journey Finder™ does not require an account, does not sell your data, and uses only essential cookies for site functionality. Your packing lists are stored locally in your browser and never sent to our servers.
If you enter our giveaway, we store your name, email address, the link to your post, any screenshot you upload, and the IP address the entry came from. That is used only to run the draw and contact the winner. It is never sold or added to a marketing list, and it is all deleted once the winner is confirmed, by March 31, 2027 at the latest. The official rules cover this in full.
