If it is the photograph, the Born's rooftop infinity edge over the old town is the shot. If it is a proper pool day, the seafront at Barceloneta or the bigger decks around Placa d'Espanya. And if it is value, the Raval's modern high-floor pools deliver the scene a full price band below the Eixample, with the caveat that you should choose the street as carefully as the hotel.

Is a rooftop pool worth it in Barcelona with children?

Usually not, and the reason is physical. Since 1 April 2026 the combined Catalan tax and Barcelona surcharge runs 8.40 euro per adult per night in a four-star and 12 euro in a five-star, charged on the first seven nights and collected at the hotel; under-16s are exempt. Two adults taking a five-star rooftop week are paying 168 euro in tax before the first cocktail reaches the deck.
