In Brief
Which adults only hotel in Rhodes should I book?
The Ixian Grand & All Suites, in the €€€ band, is the best all-round choice: its own policy sets 18 as the minimum check-in age, it is all-inclusive, it sits directly on Ixia beach and it is 7 km from the airport by its own figure. Kouros Exclusive in Faliraki is the best value, writing 16 and over into its policies, 100 m from a sandy beach.
Key takeaways
- Strictest ages: The Ixian Grand and Alizo take 18 and over, Kokkini Porta Rossa 17
- Five of the twelve publish no minimum age, Lindos Blu and Mayia Exclusive among them
- No hotel at the Prasonisi end of the island says it is adults-only
- Windiest base: Ixia on the west coast, where Alizo itself names the strong winds

Which one fits how you travel
Find the row that sounds like your trip. Every pick below names the traveller it is wrong for, so you can book on fit rather than on rank.
| If you are | Book | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A couple who want every other guest to be 18 or over | The Ixian Grand & All Suites | Its policy page sets the minimum check-in age at 18. Alizo also says 18, but only in its booking engine. |
| After a sandy beach below the room | Lindos Blu Luxury Hotel & Suites | A sandy Blue Flag beach 50 m below by the hotel's figure, though it publishes no minimum age. |
| Set on all-inclusive in the quiet south | Mayia Exclusive Resort & Spa | Premium all-inclusive from 07:00 to 02:00, with à la carte dinners, premium drinks and the spa's wet facilities included. |
| Wanting a private pool on the terrace | Lindos Grand Resort & Spa | Most of its 181 rooms have one, for guests 16 and over. |
| On a tight budget | Kolymbia Bay Art Hotel | A four-star bed and breakfast with swim-up rooms, 100 m from a pebbly beach. |
| Travelling in late March or early November | Esperos Village Blue & Spa | Open 28 March to 5 November, with one of its two pools heated from October to April. |
| Here to windsurf or kitesurf | Alizo Boutique Hotel & Spa | Its own location page sends surfers to Ixia beach for the strong winds. |
| Wanting the Old Town at the door | Kokkini Porta Rossa | Six suites 120 m inside St John's Gate, breakfast and drinks included, for guests over 17. |
| Wanting a small hotel in the south | Boutique 5 Hotel & Spa | 44 rooms, 40 m from the beach at Kiotari, bed and breakfast or half board. |

What the bands mean
These are bands, not prices. Eleven of the twelve sell through a live booking engine with no fixed nightly rate, and most close for the winter, so a rate quoted in October says nothing about July. The exception is Kokkini Porta Rossa, whose own site lists 520 to 760 euros per suite per night. Each band describes what the hotel is, read from its own website on 3 October 2026: its star rating where it states one, its board and its size. The live rate for your dates opens through the button on each card. One cost to add on: Lindos Blu's terms charge an overnight tax of 4 euros per room per night, paid at check-out.
- €
- four-star and town hotels selling bed and breakfast, without a beach of their own, priced in euros
- €€
- a hotel of suites below five-star, with half board and private-pool rooms
- €€€
- five-star resorts and a 119-room design hotel, selling bed and breakfast, half board or all-inclusive
- €€€€
- the top tier: a Small Luxury Hotels of the World member, a 250-room premium all-inclusive and a six-suite Old Town house whose own rates start at 520 euros
The 12 hotels, and who each one is wrong for
Walking times are to the sea. Distances are the hotel's own figure wherever it publishes one. Where it does not, or where its own pages disagree, they are routed on foot through OpenStreetMap at 4.5 km/h from the hotel's own map pin to the nearest named beach, and labelled as a road route. Airport distances are the hotel's own figure where it gives one, otherwise road routes from the Diagoras terminal.

Ixia, west coast
The Ixian Grand & All Suites
€€€Rated 4.4 out of 5 on Google Maps from 2,591 reviews, as of October 2026Best all-roundA 348-room all-inclusive five-star directly on Ixia beach, and the only large resort here whose written policy sets the minimum check-in age at 18. Open 27 March to 7 November.
- Walk to the sea
- Beachfront, on Ixia beach to the sea
- Right for
- Couples who want all-inclusive, the beach on the doorstep and the shortest transfer on the island: 7 km from the airport by the hotel's figure, with a free round-trip transfer on direct bookings.
- Wrong for
- Wrong for: Anyone travelling with a 16 or 17-year-old. The hotel's policy page sets the minimum check-in age at 18.
- The catch
- The catch: It is big, with evening entertainment several nights a week, and the entry categories face inland, with the Design Inland View rooms in the Garden Wing. Ixia is on the west coast, where the neighbouring Alizo says the winds are strong enough for kitesurfing.

Vlycha Bay, Lindos
Lindos Blu Luxury Hotel & Suites
€€€€Rated 4.8 out of 5 on Google Maps from 351 reviews, as of October 2026A five-star built as a hillside amphitheatre above Vlycha Bay, a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, with every room facing the sea and a sandy Blue Flag beach below. Open 30 April to 1 November.
- Walk to the sea
- 50 m to the beach by the hotel's figure to the sea
- Right for
- Couples who want sand rather than pebbles near Lindos, and a pool shared with just one other room in the Double Room with Shared Pool.
- Wrong for
- Wrong for: Anyone who needs a stated minimum age. The hotel says adults-only on its site and in its terms, and its booking form takes adults only, but it never publishes an age.
- The catch
- The catch: It is terraced into the hillside, so expect steps between rooms, pools and the beach. Airport transfers cost extra on standard rates, and the hotel puts the airport 50 km away.

Vlycha Bay, 4 km from Lindos
Lindos Grand Resort & Spa
€€€Rated 4.6 out of 5 on Google Maps from 1,116 reviews, as of October 2026A five-star of 181 rooms and junior suites for guests 16 and over, most with a private pool, selling bed and breakfast or half board from 29 April to 31 October.
- Walk to the sea
- 350 m by the booking engine; the website says direct access to the sea
- Right for
- Couples who want a private pool on the terrace and a section of Vlycha Bay kept for guests, with Lindos village 4 km away.
- Wrong for
- Wrong for: Anyone with limited mobility. The hotel warns that rooms on the upper hill wing may not be easily accessible on foot.
- The catch
- The catch: The indoor pool, sauna and hammam sit behind a 20 euro spa entrance fee, and the free airport transfer needs a direct booking of at least 7 nights in one of three private-pool room types. The hotel calls its beach pebble on one page and a mix of sand and small pebbles on another.

Kiotari, south-east coast
Mayia Exclusive Resort & Spa
€€€€Rated 4.8 out of 5 on Google Maps from 1,323 reviews, as of October 2026A five-star premium all-inclusive of 250 rooms and suites on a 15-acre beachfront plot at Kiotari, with swim-up rooms on a heated shared pool. Open 27 April to 2 November.

- Right for
- Couples who want all-inclusive that runs from 07:00 to 02:00, with à la carte dinners, premium drinks and the spa's wet facilities in the price.
- Wrong for
- Wrong for: Anyone after a quiet hideaway or a stated age rule. It has a nightclub, and it publishes no minimum age.
- The catch
- The catch: It is the furthest hotel here from the airport: 58 km and about an hour by its own directions. The beach in front is open to the public, and transfers are free only in the Mayia Suite.

Kiotari, south-east coast
Boutique 5 Hotel & Spa
€€€Rated 4.7 out of 5 on Google Maps from 375 reviews, as of October 2026A 44-room five-star in Kiotari, sister to Mayia Exclusive, selling bed and breakfast or half board 40 m from the beach. Open 1 May to 31 October.
- Walk to the sea
- 40 m by the hotel's figure to the sea
- Right for
- Couples who want a small five-star with a private-pool suite on the south-east coast, at a fraction of Mayia's size.
- Wrong for
- Wrong for: Anyone who wants a choice of places to eat on site. There is one restaurant, Impressions, and one pool bar, Sketch.
- The catch
- The catch: No minimum age is published, the outdoor pool closes at 18:00, and the hotel takes a 300 euro card pre-authorisation per stay at check-in. It gives no airport distance; the road route is 62.4 km.

Kolymbia, east coast
Casa Cook Rhodes
€€€Rated 4.7 out of 5 on Google Maps from 948 reviews, as of October 2026A 119-room adults-only design hotel in Kolymbia where every room opens onto a shared or private pool, selling bed and breakfast or half board.
- Walk to the sea
- 5 minutes by the hotel's figure; White Rock Beach 850 m to the sea
- Right for
- Sociable couples and friends who want a pool outside the door, a spa with an indoor heated pool and Lindos and the Old Town each 30 minutes away by car.
- Wrong for
- Wrong for: Anyone who wants to step from the room onto sand. The hotel puts the nearest beach a five-minute walk away.
- The catch
- The catch: The bar runs until 2 am with resident DJs, and the hotel publishes no minimum age, no star rating and no season dates. It is 30 km from the airport by its own figure.

Kolymbia, east coast
Kolymbia Bay Art Hotel
€Rated 4.4 out of 5 on Google Maps from 647 reviews, as of October 2026A small four-star bed and breakfast hotel 100 m from Kolymbia's pebbly beach, with swim-up rooms and an à la carte restaurant. Open 8 May to 30 October.
- Walk to the sea
- 100 m by the hotel's figure to the sea
- Right for
- Couples on a budget who want a swim-up room and would rather eat out than buy a package, with Rhodes Town and Lindos each 25 km away.
- Wrong for
- Wrong for: Anyone who wants all-inclusive or sand underfoot. The hotel calls itself a bed and breakfast hotel and its beach pebbly.
- The catch
- The catch: No minimum age is published, the season is the shortest here, and the hotel's 20-minute drive from the airport is optimistic: the road route is 30.2 km and 36 minutes. A disco night with a DJ runs weekly.

Kallithea, near Faliraki
Esperos Village Blue & Spa
€€€Rated 4.8 out of 5 on Google Maps from 2,588 reviews, as of October 2026A 209-room five-star on a pine-covered hill above Ammades beach, for guests 16 and over by its booking engine, selling half board. Open 28 March to 5 November.
- Walk to the sea
- 600 m by the hotel's figure, or the free shuttle to the sea
- Right for
- Couples and solo travellers who want a five-star with half board near Rhodes Town, in late March or early November, outside most of the seasons on this page.
- Wrong for
- Wrong for: Anyone who wants to walk from the room onto the sand. The beach is 600 m away, by free shuttle or a 10-minute walk.
- The catch
- The catch: Sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach cost extra, there is evening animation, and the hotel accepts small dogs, so adults-only here does not mean pet-free.

Faliraki, east coast
Kouros Exclusive Hotel & Suites
€€Rated 4.8 out of 5 on Google Maps from 873 reviews, as of October 2026Best valueAn adults-only hotel of suites in central Faliraki that writes its age rule into its own policies, 16 and over, 100 m from the sandy beach of Kathara.
- Walk to the sea
- 100 m to Kathara beach by the hotel's figure to the sea
- Right for
- Couples who want a swim-up or private-pool suite at the heart of Faliraki, by the hotel's own description, 18 km from the airport by its figure.
- Wrong for
- Wrong for: Anyone after quiet nights. The hotel itself credits Faliraki with a legendary nightlife scene.
- The catch
- The catch: The spa is a single massage room, the entry Deluxe Double looks over the garden or pool, pool towels need a 10 euro cash deposit each, and pets are allowed. It publishes no season dates.

Ialysos, west coast
Alizo Boutique Hotel & Spa
€Rated 4.9 out of 5 on Google Maps from 149 reviews, as of October 2026A 67-room four-star in Ialysos whose booking engine takes guests 18 and over, with heated swim-up rooms and Ialyssos beach about 3 minutes' walk away. Open 20 April to 31 October.
- Walk to the sea
- About 3 minutes to Ialyssos beach by the hotel's figure to the sea
- Right for
- Windsurfers, kitesurfers and couples who want an 18-and-over hotel about 15 minutes by car from the airport, with the bus station a 2-minute walk away.
- Wrong for
- Wrong for: Anyone who wants calm water for swimming. The hotel's own location page says Ixia beach is perfect for surf enthusiasts due to the strong winds.
- The catch
- The catch: The age limit appears only in the booking engine, not in writing on the website, and the copy promising direct beach access sits beside a 3-minute walk on the location page. The board is breakfast, with an all-day menu.

Rhodes New Town
Rhodos Horizon City
€Rated 4.8 out of 5 on Google Maps from 931 reviews, as of October 2026A 149-room bed and breakfast hotel opposite the casino in the New Town, which puts minimum age 16+ on its homepage. Open 1 April to 9 November, the latest closing date on this page.
- Walk to the sea
- 6 minutes, 414 m to Elli Beach by road route to the sea
- Right for
- Adults who want Rhodes Town on foot, Elli Beach a 6-minute walk away and the Old Town's Liberty Gate 11 minutes on foot, both by road route.
- Wrong for
- Wrong for: Anyone booking for the beach or a spa. It is a town hotel with one pool, open from 10:00 to 18:00.
- The catch
- The catch: Twin rooms come with a city, limited sea or sea view, so the cheapest may face the city. The hotel's own pages put the beach both 300 m and 500 m away.

Rhodes Old Town
Kokkini Porta Rossa
€€€€Rated 4.9 out of 5 on Google Maps from 100 reviews, as of October 2026Six suites in a building dating from 1340, 120 m inside St John's Gate, sold as bed, breakfast and drinks to guests over 17.
- Walk to the sea
- Not a beach hotel; it supplies beach towels to the sea
- Right for
- Couples who want the medieval town at the door, with breakfast, every drink on the premises and the minibar included in a published rate.
- Wrong for
- Wrong for: Anyone with limited mobility or a car. Taxis stop outside the walls at least 150 m away, and the hotel says it was not designed to official accessibility standards.
- The catch
- The catch: Its own rates run from 520 to 760 euros per suite per night, with a two-night minimum and a 50% deposit, at least 500 euros, taken at booking. Its terms say guests must be over seventeen yet bar only those under 17, so ask if you are travelling with a 17-year-old.
Where not to book in Rhodes
The trap on Rhodes is the label, not a district. Several hotels close to the adults-only ones take children: Elysium Resort and Kresten Royal in Kallithea book adults from 12 alongside a children selector, and Santa Helena in Ialysos accepts children from 14 by its own site, even though a UK package listing calls it adults-only. Costa Lindia Blue Star in Lardos takes guests 16 and over, but it is an adults-only section joined by tunnel to a family hotel whose beach, restaurants and animation it shares. If you want calm water, think twice about the west coast: Alizo says Ixia beach suits surfers because of the strong winds. And there is no adults-only hotel at the Prasonisi end of the island; the nearest are in Kiotari.
When to book
Book around the season before the price. The earliest opening here is The Ixian Grand on 27 March and the latest closing is Rhodos Horizon City on 9 November, while Kolymbia Bay Art runs only 8 May to 30 October and Boutique 5 1 May to 31 October. Pools matter at the edges: Kolymbia Bay Art heats its pool in April, May and October, Alizo from April to mid May and in October, and Mayia's and Boutique 5's outdoor pools close at 18:00 every day. Lindos Grand's free transfer needs a direct booking of 7 nights, so fix the length of the trip before you book. For a winter stay, 10GR Boutique Hotel & Wine Bar in the Old Town says it operates all year round.
