What the bands mean
Bands are relative tiers, not quotes. Davidson County hotels averaged 199.20 dollars a night across 2025 on STR data published by the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp. Two costs that hit families hardest and never appear in the headline rate: lodging tax at 16.75 percent plus 2.50 dollars a night, and downtown parking, which is valet-only at most of these addresses and ranges from 45 dollars at Drury to 73 at the Sheraton. Where not to book in Nashville
The trap here is not a bad neighbourhood, it is the unpublished detail. Only Drury, Embassy Suites and, at the whole-room level, Gaylord and the JW state how many people a room holds; everywhere else the number lives in a booking engine, and arriving with five people and a reservation for four is a bad conversation at 11pm. Crib policies are unpublished almost everywhere, and no hotel in Nashville states a kids-stay-free or kids-eat-free policy on its own site - if a listing claims one, it is not coming from the hotel. And check the parking line before the room line: at 45 to 73 dollars a night, it moves the ranking more often than the rate does.
When to book
Book eight weeks out for normal dates, and the moment your dates are fixed for CMA Fest in June, any Titans or Predators home weekend, and the summer bachelorette Saturdays that fill downtown from May to September. Family rooms are thin inventory in a city built for couples and groups: Drury's suites and Embassy's double-queen layouts go first. January and February are the genuine bargain months, and the Gaylord atrium is at its best then anyway.
